Life ReflectionsThe Beautiful Life of Babylipz

Khalilah A. Kelly was born November 15, 2005 at Antelope Valley Hospital. She was born to Markeyia Pearson and named by Lawrence Kelly. Her name is a beautiful Arabic name meaning “Special Friend” and that she was to anyone she met and related to. She was baptized and dedicated to God, parents Geanna & Christopher Norwood and Kathy & Kirion Martin at Total Deliverance Church. Khalilah was a blessing from the day she was born. Her beautiful eyes can melt anyone. She was always a happy baby.

Khalilah came out looking like a porcelain doll with plenty of attitude and a head full of hair. She always wanted her way and she knew how to get it even as a baby. Khalilah would bat those beautiful eyes and poke out her baby lips and act like she was going to cry just so you could pick her up. And always got her way with that. She stayed poking those lips out even in pictures and then she added her 2 little fingers giving her signature peace pose at 1 yrs old. She officially became BABYLIPZ.

She was very smart, nosy, inquisitive, beautiful, bossy and very spoiled. Her first big word was extravaganza thanks to Dora the Explorer. She loved that cartoon and the Care Bears. She excelled in everything she did except waiting to learn how to walk till she was 15 months 😂 . She always was willing to learn something new. She loved meeting people and could talk to anybody. Khalilah had a bubbly personality. On the quiet side till she got to know you and then that beautiful flower would blossom.

She loved going to the movies, go on little vacation stays especially to Vegas with her siblings just to go have fun, eat at all her favorite buffets and spending her momma money, going to the park. She was a great pleasure to be around.

Khalilah was raised in Lancaster California majority of her life. Khalilah attended Sierra Elementary, LifeSource Charter School, and Lancaster High later to graduate 9 months early from Desert Winds High School in 2022. At 18 years old Khalilah wanted to step off into the world to become her own little woman, and she did just that. She moved to Las Vegas Nevada where she got her first job at Forever 21. She was so sweet and a people person so that job was perfect for her. She returned back to California in 2024.

Khalilah checked into Antelope Valley College to receive her Associate’s Degree and become a photographer. She was blessed beyond measure with the great examples of father figures in her life that taught her self worth, to love herself first, self dignity, showed her love and taught her things on what was expected being a great young lady. Thank you Javonne Searles, Toby Coutee, Christopher Walls, Michael Cunningham. One thing for sure she was not to be played with cause they didn’t play about her.

Khalilah proceeds in death her uncle Xavier and leaves behind her mother Markeyia Pearson, six brothers Javonne Jr, Jayceon, Ah’Nour, Ah’Nyx, Raymond Jr, and Major. She leaves behind 2 sisters Rasiyah and Ahlani. Grandmothers Sheila, Melissa and Peaches, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.

We will miss you Babylipz, you can rest now.
