Obituary

Johnny Ray Fisher Sr. Known as “King Fish” was born in Phoenix, AZ on March 12, 1955 to G.T. Fisher Sr. and Winfree Fisher. At the age of twelve, his family moved to Pacoima Ca. where he attended Pacoima Elementary, McClay Jr. High and San Fernando High school to further his education. Johnny always had a way of making his own way in life. In 2005 he decided to become his own boss and started his business “J & J Recycling”.

We honor the life of Johnny, a man whose presence was as strong as it was unforgettable. He was born in Arizona and raised in California, carried both roots with pride, shaping him into a man who was grounded, resilient, and real in every sense of the word.

He was the third child of fourteen and the oldest of five brothers - a role he carried with natural leadership, strength, and loyalty. Johnny was known as a realist, someone who spoke truth without pretense and lived his life with no regrets. He earned respect wherever he went, he was known in his community as a true OVG gangster - but beyond that that image was a man with a genuine heart of gold.

Johnny had a way with people. He was kind, approachable, and treated everyone he met with respect. His presence lit up a room. Tall dark and undeniably handsome, with a charisma that drew people in. He was admired by many, but it was his wife who held his heart completely, sharing a love that stood above all else.

Above everything, Johnny will be remembered for his authenticity, his strength, and his ability to make others feel seen and valued. His legacy lives through the many lives he touched, the family he helped shape, and the love he gave so freely.
