The LIFE & LEGACY
Jacqueline Delores Rowe was born on July 22, 1961, in Los Angeles, California, to Ernest and Bessie Rowe. She was the first daughter born to the family after five sons. Affectionately known as "Jackie," she received her education through the Los Angeles Unified School District. She attended Vaughn Street Elementary School and San Fernando Junior High School before graduating from John F. Kennedy High School in 1979.
From an early age, Jackie was introduced to the love of God and the importance of faith. As a child, she attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Pacoima, California, with her mother. In December 1978, Jackie made a life-changing decision to place her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. She was baptized with the Holy Ghost at International Full Gospel Apostolic Church in Pacoima, California, under the leadership of Bishop Willie Collins and Evangelist Bessie Collins. Her relationship with God would become the most important and enduring part of her life.
In November 1979, Jackie married Ronald D. Miller, Sr. Through their union, they were blessed with four children: Audra, Aprile, Ronald Jr., and Jacquelyn Alexis Miller. Later, the family welcomed two additional sons, Anthony Rebeaud and her baby boy, Christopher Rowe. Jackie embraced motherhood wholeheartedly and devoted herself to raising her children, choosing to remain at home with them during their formative years.
In 1993, after dedicating herself to raising her family, Jackie entered the workforce when she joined the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) as a cafeteria worker. During her years with LAUSD, she worked at many schools throughout the district, becoming a familiar and valued presence within the school communities she served.
In August 1999, Jackie embarked on a new chapter in her career when she joined Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro). Her years with Metro were filled with meaningful relationships, laughter, and countless memories. Jackie loved her Metro family, and those who knew her there will remember her for her joyful spirit and warm personality. She had a way of bringing lightheartedness and joy into the lives of those around her. Jackie remained dedicated to Metro for more than 25 years, retiring in April 2025.
In 2011, Jackie joined Word of Life Outreach Ministries in Palmdale, California, under the pastoral leadership of Bishop Jeryl Ross. Her church became a place where her love for God and her passion for serving others could flourish. Jackie took great joy in serving in the house of God and faithfully embraced every opportunity to minister to others. Throughout her years at Word of Life, Jackie served as a Minister, Sunday School Teacher, Altar Worker, and Event Coordinator. Whether teaching, praying, organizing, encouraging, or simply being present for someone in need, Sis. Jackie served with genuine love and a willing heart. She remained a faithful member of Word of Life Outreach Ministries until her passing.
Minister Miller's desire to grow in her understanding of God and to serve others at a greater level led her to pursue theological education. In June 2023, she received her Associate Degree in Biblical Studies from American College Theological Seminary International University. During that same time, she became an ordained and certified Chaplain, further equipping herself to minister to and provide spiritual support for others.
Her life was a testament to her faith, her willingness to serve, and her sincere love for people. Minister Miller did not simply talk about faith—she demonstrated it through a life of service, compassion, encouragement, and devotion to God.
One of the greatest joys of Sis. Jackie's life was being a grandmother. She was blessed with 20 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She developed a special and individual relationship with each one. To Sis. Jackie, being Grandma was more than a title—it was a privilege she embraced with her whole heart. She was known for making sure her grandchildren had unforgettable Christmases. When birthdays, back-to-school time, holidays, or special occasions came around, Grandma Jackie was always ready—with both her heart and her wallet. She made it her mission to ensure that her grandchildren had not only what they needed, but often what they wanted as well. Her generosity was an expression of her love. She delighted in seeing her grandchildren happy, cared for, and enjoying life. Each grandchild knew they held a special place in Grandma Jackie's heart, and each will carry their own cherished memories of her love, laughter, generosity, and presence. The love she poured into them will remain a part of their lives and legacy for generations to come.
On August 6, 2026, Minister Jacqueline Delores Miller answered the call of the Lord and peacefully departed this life. Though her earthly journey has ended, her legacy of faith, love, service, generosity, and family continues through all those whose lives she touched. She is now reunited in eternal rest with her beloved parents, Ernest and Bessie Rowe; her daughter, Jacquelyn Alexis Miller; her brothers, Wendell Rowe, Wallace Rowe, Gregory Rowe, Wayne Rowe, and Frederick Green; her sisters, Aneita Rowe and Cynthia Rowe Frechette; her uncles, Mark Rowe, Arguster Rowe, and John Jay McCormick; and her aunts, Corrine Bess and Eula Mae Collins.
Sis. Jackie leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Ronald Miller, Jr. of Lancaster, California, and Christopher Rowe of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Audra Miller of Lancaster, California, and Aprile (Jermaine) Harris of Arlington, Texas; and her beloved nephew, Anthony (Nicole) Rebeaud of Austin, Texas. She also leaves to cherish her memory four aunts, Willie Bell White, Doris Rowe, Frances Rowe, and Helen McCormick; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Matthew 25:21
