Obituary

Fred Lee Abraham Jr., lovingly known as “Lee,” was born on December 19, 1967, in Los Angeles, California, to the proud parents Fred Lee Abraham Sr. and Norma Jean Abraham, who both preceded him in death. At the age of two, Fred relocated with his family to Pacoima, California, where he was raised.

Fred attended San Fernando High School and later earned his High School Diploma from Northeast Valley Occupational Center. Following graduation, he began working for the Los Angeles Unified School District as a cafeteria worker from 1990 to 1994, a role he truly enjoyed. Cooking became one of his favorite pastimes and a source of relaxation throughout his life.

In April 1994, Fred began his career with the City of Los Angeles, serving as a supervisor in the General Services Department for 31 years. He faithfully worked there until his retirement in November 2025, when he dedicated himself fully to his passion for Ministry.

Fred was baptized and later ordained as a deacon at Saint Paul Baptist Church, where he grew deeply in the Word of God. On July 2, 2006, he was ordained as a pastor at Greater Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a youth pastor, guiding young people in hearing, practicing, serving, and worshiping our Lord and Savior.

Fred continued as an active member of the Ministerial Staff at Greater Missionary Baptist Church. Under the leadership of the late Pastor John L. Lett Sr., Fred was installed in the summer of 2011 as Pastor of New Paradise Missionary Baptist Church, where he faithfully served for 15 years. During his ministry, he touched countless lives through worship, counseling, marriages, baptisms, and spreading the Gospel.

Pastor Abraham had a deep passion for singing, worshiping, and praising God. He also enjoyed fishing, watching kickboxing, boxing, and baseball. He especially treasured cruises with family and friends.
